1. Chocolate

Chocolate is poisonous for dogs as it contains theobromine, which is considered a heavy compound that is not easy to digest by dogs. As per the sources, it is found that repeat intake of theobromine can lead to the development of a chronic disease of the heart muscle that makes it harder for the heart to pump blood in dogs.  

2. Nuts

Not all nuts are harmful to dogs but there is a certain type of nuts that are not safe for consumption by dogs such as walnuts, raw cashews, pistachios, etc. Consumption of these nuts led to decreased or no appetite, vomiting, lethargy, and even diarrhea.

 3. Alcohol

Caffeine causes a raise in blood pressure and may lead to heart arrhythmia (an irregular heartbeat) in dogs. Even the smallest quantity of caffeine intake can even cause the death of a canine.

6. Fried and fatty foods

Feeding your canine excessively rich or fatty foods can trigger pancreatitis (inflammatory ailment of the pancreas). Pancreatitis is greater common in puppies than in cats and signs encompass vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, and loss of appetite.

7. Onion and garlic

Onion and garlic are the most harmful things for your canine. As they are part of the Allium family of food and this is toxic for dogs as well as cats. Even this compound reduces the oxygen supplying red blood cells in dogs. As a result, it causes anemia in dogs.

8. Grapes and raisins

Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure, dehydration, vomiting, lethargy, abdominal pain, and changes in urination in dogs

9. Avocado
